Dr Lim graduated from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland in 1992 with a passion for General Medicine. He immediately returned to Singapore for further training and did rotations in the Singapore General Hospital both in Internal Medicine and General Surgery. He also trained for a short while in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at KK Women's and Children's Hospital.

After completing his national service as a Medical Officer, he joined the Healthway Medical Group and worked as a General Practitioner gaining experience for the next 10 years. During that time, he was the appointed company factory doctor for Sony Precision Engineering Center for a few years.

In 2005, Dr Lim joined Pacific Healthcare and worked in Atria Medical Associates and Peninsular Plaza Clinic and Surgery. He is currently stationed permanently at Atria Medical Clinic in Wisma Atria.

His main interest is Family Medicine and he sees both young and old, acute and chronic illnesses and believes in preventative medicine in the form of health screenings.
